Counsel to Senator representing Kaduna Central, Distinguished Comrade Shehu Sani, Kayode Ajulo and Co. Castle of Law, has slammed the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai for unethical practice in broadcasting the notice of the N2billion defamation suit.

In a statement signed by his Counsel, Mrs Damilola Kolade, the law firm urged Governor el-Rufai to obey and comply with all court judgments, since he has faith in the judiciary.
“Apart from the suit, we however take exception to the patently adopted unethical practice of the Governor’s Attorney General, particularly being a senior member of the bar (Senior Advocate) who should know who should know better the implication of taking recourse to the media to broadcast the notice of a pending suit to our client.
“The procedure adopted by the counsel to say the least is unethical, unprofessional and uncharitable particularly when record has shown that there is no court order for substituted service against our client,” it stated.
Shehu Sani’s counsel assured him of the likely sanctions against those found wanting in such circumstances.
The statement however, commended Governor el-Rufai for keeping faith in the judiciary.
“In the same vein, we equally pray that as a further assurance of His Excellency’s premium on our courts he should immediately obey and or comply with all other judgments and rulings against him,” it added.
Kayode Ajulo and Co expressed total commitment to the rule of law, while assuring of rendering of moral duties to clients.
