Adamawa State public sector on Thursday was in total compliance with the nationwide strike action embarked upon by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) over minimum wage.
When New Nigerian visited the federal and state secretariats, the whole complex was under lock and key and deserted as workers stayed away from their offices to press home their demands.
Banks and hospitals were equally not left out of the strike.
Officials of the state Chapter of the NLC went round government establishments to ensure compliance with the directives.
The private sector however did not join the strike action as markets, shops and other businesses were in full operation.
