Marketers Aiding Fuel Scarcity – NURTW

The chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW),   Badume branch  in Bichi Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdu Tambai has said that some of the petroleum marketers are sabotaging the federal government’s efforts in making fuel available in the country in order to get unnecessary profit.
He disclosed this in a chat with New Nigerian in Badume, where he added that every Nigerian citizen knows that the federal government is working day and night trying to make fuel available in the country but some marketers are on the other hand, sabotaging the efforts.
Alhaji Tambai lamented that: “We all understand that the government is doing it’s best to  make fuel available in every nooks and corners of this nation, but some unpatriotic petroleum marketers are sabotaging what the government which is a great offence punishable as contained in the Nigerian law”. he said.
The chairman further called on the Federal Government,  the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), the security agencies, the media and the general public to  contribute their quota in fishing out any marketer who is sabotaging fuel supply and marketing for severe  punishment, and assured that NURTW   Badume would continue to make transportation more successful through safety on Kano-Katsina highway.
