Mark pays condolence visit to Buhari …over daughter’s demise

NIGERIA Senate President, David Mark yesterday visited former military Head of State General Muhammadu Buhari at his Kaduna residence and commiserated with the family over the demise of the General’s eldest daughter; Zulai who passed on last week Thursday.
Senator Mark described the demise of Zulai as a great loss as the late Zulai was young with bright future and expectations to contribute her quota to the national development.
The Senate President who was accompanied by Kaduna State Governor, Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, said he was at the General’s residence to commiserate with him on behalf of the senate. He prayed God to grant the deceased peace, forgive her short comings and reward her good deeds.
Responding, General Muhammadu Buhari said he felt highly honoured by the visit of the Senate President. He urged him to extend his regards to the whole senators.
Buhari said President Goodluck Jonathan has earlier written to him and condoled him over the loss.
Mark flew into Kaduna in a Police Helicopter piloted by him and landed at Murtala Mohammed Square before driving in a Motorcade with Governor Yakowa to the General’s residence.
