Team Kwara were lucky to stroll away with the female volleyball gold at the 4th National Youth Games in Ilorin, claiming a 3-2 win over Team Kaduna.

The tension soaked game saw the hard fighting Team Kaduna girls come from two sets down to level up at 2-2.
Kwara took the first two sets, after Kaduna’s star player was demoralised and harassed by Kwara officials, who were looking for an easy win.
Naomi, who is just 14 years, was intimidated rudely, a development that saw her play badly, a situation Kwara took advantage of in the first two sets.
At the end of the match which attracted large number of supporters from both teams, it took intervention of personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to prevent a brawl from escalating after the Kwara supporters encroached the area were Kaduna supporters were dominant, taunting them.
Witnesses said one was injured from a stone from one of the Kwara supporters.
It would be recalled that during the semifinal between Kaduna and Rivers, the Kwara team, looking for an easy opponent, went all out, supporting and cheering Rivers.
