Fire suspected to have emanated from the technical room of the Senate chamber ignited from spark, sent lawmakers scampering to safety.
Trailing the engulfment, smoke filled the Senate chamber forcing the lawmakers to vacate.
The smoke overwhelmed the chamber when the legislators where to enter the chamber to commence Thursay’s plenary session.
It has been confirmed that no casualty was recorded.
Meanwhile the actual cause of the spark in the technical room is yet to be ascertained.
