Gombe Bulls and Kano Pillars have both qualified for the Kwese Basketball League Final eight.
They qualified from the Savannah Conference after garnering 12 and 10 points respectively after Day 6 results in matches played on Tuesday September 25, 2018.
In Game Number 25, Ahip Giants overpowered Plateau Peaks 67-52, Gombe Bulls bullied past Niger Potters 86-75 in game 26 and Bauchi Nets failed to put more balls in the basket against Kano Pillars, ending the game number 17, 65-75.
In Day 5 results for Atlantic Conference, also played on Tuesday, Comets fell to Kwara Falcons 64-72, Anambra Flames failed to light up as the lost 69-73 tonOluyole Warriors, Police could not arrest the skills of Hoops and Read, ending third game 72-105 and the lucky Customs were one point better than Delta Force in a keenly contested game which ended 64-63.
Speaking to our correspondent, Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) Technical Director, Ajibarede Bello said the season has been exciting.
“We have witnessed teams displaying better skills and the competitiveness is encouraging,” he added.
