Kano PDP members have accused the former Governor of Kano State and serving Senator Kano Central Senatorial Zone, Engineer Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of killing the party in the state on his selfish candidates selection, where only his close sons in-laws and associates get nominations to contest various posts in the 2019 general elections.
Our correspondent who had a interviews with PDP supporters said that what the Kwankwasiyya leader is doing is a big slap on the whole party members across the state, calling on the national headquarters of the party to as a matter of urgency wade into Kano PDP crisis for the success of the party in the forthcoming elections.
Alhaji Adamu Garba a resident of kano municipal told New Nigerian that “what Kwankwaso is doing in the party is a sign that PDP is gradually dying in Kano because all the selected candidates are very weak and they have no political will to defeat all the incumbents across the state despite his full support”, he emphasized.
Similarly, Hajiya Ràmatu Abdullàhi from Doguwa Local Government Area said that Kwankwaso is helping APC to win the 2019 general election because all the single hàndedly selected candidates are weak and mostly unknown to majority of the Kano electorates which is another good chance to the ruling party, adding that Kano politics is now a one party affair.
In another development, other PDP took sides with Ambassador Aminu Wali, Mas’ud Doguwa, Salihu Tàkai, Sani Rogo ànd immediate past deputy governor are now in talks within their clans in order to come out with what they think would be acceptable among the teaming party supporters in the state, while some current affairs commentators took Kwankwaso’s final decision as selfish without PDP national body’s consent.
