The managing director, Katsina State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KTARDA), Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Musawa has disclosed that his agency is changing the face of the state’s agriculture through  extension staff.

He made this known in his speech at the launching of Katsina State’s “Smart (Precision) Agriculture and Seasonal Rainfall and Weather Prediction” themed  Smart  Agriculture and Seasonal Rainfall Prediction (SRP), for sustainable agricultural and rural development” as well as the distribution of 361 motorcycles to KTARDA  extension staff  and N-Power Agro held recently.

Alhaji Ibrahim Musawa added that quality extension services has rapidly developed agriculture and rural development in Katsina State, especially at present when the Masari administration considers the agric sector as the best option in economic recovery for national growth.

He commended the Katsna State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, the state’s commissioner of agriculture who is also the state’s deputy governor, Alhaji Munnir Yakubu and the special adviser to Katsina State  Governor on Agriculture for all the necessary support that they render to the agricultural sector.

At the end,  the managing director assured that Katsina State’s agricultural transformation would continue to boost the economy of the state as seen at both dry and rainy seasons with satisfactory results, and commended the KTARDA staff for excellent performance as monitored.
