Prominent sons and daughters of Madakiya from different political parties, led by Hon. Elisha Gode, have paid a solidarity visit to the newly elected chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kaduna State, Air Commodore E.K. Jakada (rtd) in his Kaduna office on Monday July 9, 2018, expressing readiness to support him and the party in 2019 general elections.
The spokesperson of the group, Hon. Elisha Gode assured the state chairman that they will go back and enlighten the people of Madakiya Ward in Zango Kataf LG irrespective of party differences on how the newly elected chairman on the need for the success, and to deliver the entire area and Southern Kaduna come 2019 general election.
In his response, the APC chairman Kaduna State, thanked them for coming, saying his election was divine and he will try to bring unity in the party.
He also appealed to them that politics is not a religion as such, nobody should deceive them that a particular party belongs to a certain religion, while advising them to embrace the party because it is one for development and progress.
The newly elected Kaduna APC chairman, Air Commodore E.K. Jakada hails from Madakiya Ward in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The visitors expressed gratitude to Governor Nasir el-Rufai for recognizing one of their indigenous sons with high regards.
