Kidnapped Sheikh Yusuf gains freedom

The Plateau State government has announced the release of Sheikh Abdulaziz Yusuf who was kidnapped few days ago on his way to Kaduna from Jos, Plateau State around Saminaka in Lere Local Government Area by unknown men.
A statement by Mr Dan Manjang, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to Governor Simon Lalong said, the state government was happy to announce that the Administrative Secretary of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam, and Leader, Nurudeen Society of Nigeria,  Sheikh Abdulazeez Yusuf has been released and has since been in the warm embrace of his family and in good health.
“His release followed the swift intervention of the joint operation of security forces in Kaduna and Plateau states.
“To this end, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Barr.  Simon Bako Lalong would like to use this medium to rejoice with members of the family of Sheikh Abdulazeez Yusuf and the entire Muslim Ummah in the state.
“He also uses the opportunity to congratulate all the security personnel, organisations and individuals who acted swiftly to see to the release of the Muslim Cleric.
“The Governor also uses the opportunity to call on members of the public in the state to be extra vigilant and report suspicious and dubious characters among them as they go about their normal duties.
“He assures all law abiding citizens of the state of adequate protection of their lives and property”, the statement assured.
