The Chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari on Tuesday asked Nigerians to keep faith with the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government.
Senator Buhari made the appeal while speaking at his town hall meeting and empowerment programme held at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp,Iseyin.
The Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District emphasized that the ruling APC and President Buhari will not let Nigerians down as all their campaign promises “will be met.
” We are not unmindful of the myraid of challenges facing the country at this moment. I want to implore you all to keep faith with the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and our great party, All Progressives Congress (APC). We will not let you down, all our campaign promises will be met and we shall move the country to a greater height ” he said.
Senator Buhari added ” we sincerely acknowledge and appreciate your patience, steadfastness, understanding and support “.
” I want to repeat, this government is determined and working assiduously to rebuild every sector of the country and make life meaningful for the citizenry. The situation we met on ground was worse than what we expected “
Speaking on his empowerment programme, Senator Buhari disclosed that about 1,500 people are to be given different items including 9 buses, 18 saloon cars, 250 motorcycles and 13 transformers.
Senator Buhari gave list of other items to be distributed at the empowerment as 450 grinding machines, 180 sewing machines. 25 deep fridzers, 21 generators, N25,000 bursary for 200 Tertiary institutions students and 1,500 literature Textbooks for Junior Secondary schools.
