Kebbi State Government on Thursday released more than one billion Naira for the payment of gratuity to retired civil servants in the state and local government service.
Governor Abubakar Bagudu who approved the amount said his administration is committed to the welfare and social well being of retired civil servants of both state and the local government areas.
He noted that this is his government’s commitment  in ensuring that it offsets all outstanding gratuities as soon as possible.
He called on them to always respect the rule of law enshrined by the present administration under President Muhammadu Buhari.
A beneficiary, Malam Zaki Badariya told newsmen that he would vote Buhari and Bagudu in next election come 2019 because of their honesty and justice.
