Kebbi State needed the sum of five hundred billion Naira to mobilize its people for another set of investment having recorded tremendous success in Anchor Borrowers Programme in last one and half years.
Governor Abubakar Bagudu stated this in Birnin Kebbi when he hosted the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
He added that the state is planning to revive the famous Argungu International Fishing Festival which was neglected for over ten years.
” Even though, Hottungo, Rigata and Uhola Festivals observed in Suru, Yauri and Zuru local government areas of the state yearly also the Fishing Festival which usually observed in Argungu will also resurface either this year or early next year.”
According to the Governor, the N500 billion if obtained by the state, government will engage the teaming populace into many investment opportunities that will empower them.
Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed told the Governor that going by what he has seen in Kebbi, Anchor Borrowers Programme initiated by APC-led administration is real.
He called on critics to come to Kebbi State to see the reality about Anchor Borrowers Programme.
