KDSG presents a budget proposal of over 170bn the state Assembly

Governor Nasir Ahmad El-rufai of Kaduna State has presented a budget proposal of over N170 billion to the state House of Assembly for approval for 2016.
Presenting the budget before the House, Mallam El-Rufai said 109 billion naira will be for capital expenditure and 62 billion naira for recurrent expenditure.
The Governor further explained that over 38 billion naira was earmarked for the economic sector while over 34 billion naira would be channeled to the social sector.
He further said over 13 billion naira was allocated to the regional sector comprising environment, natural resources, as well as, water resources.
According to the Governor, over 22 billion naira was allocated to the general administration, comprising the executive, governance, law & justice, legislature, among others.
In a remark, the speaker of the House, Alh Aminu Abdullahi Shagali promised accelerated passage of the bill to compliment government’s effort towards meeting the needs of the electorates.
