Neighboring communities surrounding the only school named Fuddiya belonging to Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) popularly known as Shi’ite located at Babban Dodo, Zaria City, have celebrated the demolition of the school by the Kaduna State urban Property Development Agency (KASUPDA).
The demolition exercise began at about 2.00pm Tuesday and was successfully executed without any hindrance.
One interesting aspect is the way people gathered peacefully watched a bulldozer demolished the school.
It could be recalled that on 12th December, 2015 the Shi’ite followers engaged Army in a violent clash which led to demolition of all buildings and structures belonging to the Shi’ite in Zaria and environs by the state government.
The movement since then has turned the school premises into their meetings base, since the Hussainiya shrine was also demolished.
