Katsina Insecurity: Masari Gives Marching Order To Security Agencies

Worried by  resurgent insecurity in some parts of Katsina State, the State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has given a marching order to security chiefs to spare no efforts in arresting the situation and those behind the activities.

New Nigerian gathered that, Kidnapping and other forms of banditry have become the order of the day particularly in some local government areas sharing a common border with Zamfara State namely, Safana, Batsari, Jibia, Danmusa and Kankara.

Residents in the areas while speaking  with journalists blamed  traditional rulers for shielding criminals in their midst but Governor Bello Masari has stressed that, government would not hesitate to dethrone any traditional ruler found shielding or hob nobbing with kidnappers and cattle rustlers as well as other criminals.

Alhaji Masari who was on an unscheduled visit to the affected areas of Jibia, Batsari, Safana and Danmusa Local Governments. subsequently, held a meeting with the relevant stakeholders and  warned that, ” Government will not tolerate complacency and complicity in matters of security.

“We place very high premium on the security of our people. The protection of their lives and property is the duty of the government, and we will not shy away from meeting that responsibility no matter the challenges”.
