The Kano State Roads Maintenance Agency, (KARMA) has been advised to extend its roads repairs to rural roads for the progress of transportation across the state.
The call was made by drivers that spoke with New Nigerian on the state of condition of some rural roads, adding that KARMA is trying very well in the repairs of many roads in the metropolis, but it is also important to the agency to extends it’s services to the rural roads for safe transportation.
Malam Dauda Muhammad, a commercial bus driver told New Nigerian that “some of our rural roads owned by Kano State Government are dilapidated and in need of urgent repairs for the safety of motorists and other roads users across the state.” He stressed.
Furthermore, Auwal Shu’aib a taxi driver en’route Bichi, Bagwai, Shanono to Gwarzo road advised the Kano State Government to give more financial support to KARMA in order to repair rural roads as an agency that was established to make some repairs on metropolitan roads.
In conclusion, all the drivers and other roads users commended the agency for working day and night repairing roads, and thanked the agency’s Managing Director, Engineer Idris Wada and his men for their selfless services to the transportation sector.
