The Kano State Ministry of Women Affairs would continue to bring out more programmes that would makes women and children more progressive and self-reliant at both rural and urban settlements.
This was announced by the state’s Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Yardada Maikano Bichi in a interview with our correspondent at Dambatta while inspecting a cooking competition organised by Dambatta Development Network (DDN).
She disclosed that Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is trying his best in terms of women gender development through her ministry, where various empowerment programmes were brought to equip women in order to be self reliant on different skills acquisition projects.
Hajiya Yardada Bichi stressed that many women have benefited from empowerment gestures initiated by the Ganduje administration, adding that such programmes were carefully planned to meet it’s target because women gender need every support and assistance for better livelihood.
Furthermore, Hajiya Yardada assured that her ministry is always initiating programmes that would boost the living standards of women and children, and commended Dambatta Development Network for staging the cooking competition for the young ones in order to give them good orientation on household activities from the beginning.
