The chairman of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Alhaji Farouk Rabiu has announced that this year’s international agric expo that was held in Kano was successful and encouraging.
He stated this in an interview with our correspondent, where he thanked the organisers and all the partners for making the exhibitions more standard and directly related with agricultural progress in Kano State as seen during the colourful events.
Alhaji Farouk Rabiu disclosed that the expo would be a continous programme, and all the existing farmers that are registered with AFAN will certainly benefit from such exhibitions because according to him, agriculture will become Nigeria’s economic mainstay with profitable future.
Furthermore, the AFAN chairman assured that his association will continue to work selflessly for the development of agriculture in Kano State and for the economic progress of the teaming farmers accross the state at both dry and rainy seasons.
In conclusion, Alhaji Farouk Rabiu thanked the Kano State Government under the stewardship of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for opening more windows of opportunities to farmers without bias, and commended the state’s deputy governor, Dr. Nasiru Gawuna, who is also the commissioner for agriculture for bringing out more helping hands to farmers of all categories.
