The Kano State chapter chairman of the All Farmers Association (AFAN), Alhaji Abdulrasheed Magaji Rimin Gado has said that all the farmers under the association did not benefit from a single Kobo that was allocated to the state in anchor borrower programme.
He made this known in an interview with our correspondent adding that ” farmers under our genuine AFAN did not benefited from the money meant for rice and wheat productions, therefore the said mobile courts that were established by the state government is a welcoming idea because we know that the money was not given to real farmers that are under our leadership.
Commenting on the anchor borrower programme, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Rimin Gado urged the CBN and Kano State Government to follow the mode of loan disbursement in order to find out the real facts on how the money was allocated and those who benefited as well as those who are behind the programme for further action.
The AFAN chairman further stated that the Kano State chapter of the association is not involved in the said anchor borrower programme therefore their stand is firm that a good investigation must be done in order to bring out full details on how the money was distributed to farmers and called on the mobile courts to work very well for the speedy recovery of the loan as scheduled.
