Kaduna Traffic, Environmental Agency Partners Private Investors

The Kaduna State Traffic and Environmental Law Enforcement Agency, KASTELEA has signed a memorandum of understanding with Eco Luminaire, a Califonia based company and other private organisation in Kaduna.

Addressing newsmen at its head office, the Managing Direction of the Agency, Col Abdulkadir Zubairu Ahmed (Rtd) said that GovernorNasir Ahmad el-rufai led administration has been a public oriented government that has always been working round the clock to ensuring that the roads are safe for users.

“This is a national programme but today Kaduna is setting the pace been the first state in Nigeria to signed a memorandum of understanding with foreign companies on issue regarding to traffic laws and road usage.

“In our quest to keep our roads save we believe that it is very important to partner various agencies and that is exactly what we are witnessing today. We are working along the side of people, the aim is to have a conducive environment that is free of road congestion, wrong parking among others”, KASTELEA boss explained.

The Commissioner for works, Housing and Transportation, Usman Mahmud Hassan, represented by Engr. Muhammed Badamasi Ibrahim said that the programme will definitely bring investment into Kaduna State. He said the aim of the partnering is to facilitates and enhances smooth operation of the Kaduna State law enforcement agency.

He urged road users and motorists to key into it and support the state government in its quest to ensure that Kaduna State roads are safe for all.

“People have to complement the efforts of Kaduna State government in making our road safe for use”, Badamasi said.
