Kaduna Police Command apprehend 15 armed robbers, 7 kidnappers

In an effort to clear Kaduna State of criminals, the state  Police Command has paraded 15 armed robbers and 7 kidnappers who have being terrorizing residents of the state.
According to the Command, five car snachers and a suspected rapist were also arrested.
Parading the suspects at the command headquarters, state Police Commissioner Sanusi Lemu warned criminals operating in the state, saying very soon they will be flushed out.
Among the suspects arrested were five gangs of ritualists
said to have killed an infant in Hayin Dan Mani Igabi Local Government area of the state.
He explained that the Command recovered various dangerous amunitions from the suspected criminals arrested. “We have within short time arrested 15 armed robbers, 7 kidnappers, five car snatchers and a rapist operating in the state”.
“We equally recovered one Ak 47 rifle, 2 Ak 47 empty magazines, 2 locally fabricated Ak 47 refles. 2 SMG rifle, 1 Barreta Pistol, 1 SMG fabricated rifle, 1 locally made Revolver Pistol, 130 rounds of live ammunition of different caliber. 4 cars, 7 live cartridges, 1 red pull over shirt, 2 long knives, jacket and 5 empty bottle of  Totolyn syrup,” he said.
The commissioner also called on the residents of the state to always provide useful information to Police that will help lead to the arrest of more bad eggs in the state.
He added that the arrested suspected criminals would be charged to court.
He assured the people of the state of the command’s readiness not to relent in its fight against crime throughout the state.
“Everyone should be exra-vigilant and report suspicious characters or movement in good time to the police or other security agencies for prompt action.
“We remain resolute, and will work tirelessly and creatively with good people to proactively prevent crime. We encourage the public to come up with any useful information they have no matter how minute or small they believe it is, because we will follow up on every lead or tip to overcome crime.”
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kaduna State Command, ASP Aliyu Usman, in a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna said, the new Commissioner of Police, CP Sanusi N. Lemu took over the mantle of leadership as Commissioner of Police Kaduna State Command on 28th July, 2016.
The statement added that until his appointment as the Commissioner of Police Kaduna State Command, he was the CP  in-charge of Elections Monitoring, Federal Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
