Kaduna Opens Camp For Female Hockey Players Ahead Of Africa championship

The Kaduna female hockey team,  KADA QUEENS  has opened camp for 30 players in preparation for the Africa Club Championship (ACC)  scheduled for Ghana.

Head Coach of the team,  Idana  Baba-Abdullahi disclosed this while speaking to newsmen on Friday in Kaduna.

Baba-Abdullahi said the team will be are presenting the country in the next Africa Club Championship (ACC)  scheduled for January 20 in  Accra Ghana.

He said the camping programme would last for three weeks before leaving for the championship.

” We just opened Camp for 30 players in the Murtala Mohammed Square and will be spending their Christmas in new year in Camp.

” We are training hard because we want a better outing than last year where we came Third in Kenya due to some problems and late arrival for the tournament.

” We are hopeful that we are going early this year and have a good outcome in the championship .

He added that the team will work hard to finished top this year in other to improve their ranking.

” With the calibre of players in the camp and support we are getting from the government now, we hope to work hard and finished well in other to improve in our ranking.

” Last year we had a bronze medal due to some problems but I believe it’s going to be better for us as we hope to move a step ahead.

The championship is scheduled for Jan. 20 -28 .
