Commercial Banks in Zaria and environs have made business activities difficult for their esteemed customers by shutting their doors to usual business transactions.
Their actions may not be unconnected with the 24 hours curfew imposed on Kaduna and its environs on Sunday following the unrest in the area which Zaria is not affected.
In Zaria and environs, there was total peace and people went about their normal businesses as usual and all schools both tertiary and secondary continued with normal academic activities.
Only that business activities suffered a set back following banks refusal to open.
Some customers expressed dismay over the banks’ failure to open for business despite the peaceful atmosphere in Zaria and its environs but they didn’t respond to their customers only allowing them to hang on ATM with long queues with uncertainty of getting the money.
Zaria has remained peaceful and people continued with their normal day-to-day activities while security personnel were vigilant all over the area.
