Kaduna Assembly Adjourns After Confirming Commissioner Of Water Nominee

The Kaduna State House of Assembly on Wednesday screened and confirmed Arc. Dr. Ibrahim Hamza as the Commissioner of Water Resources.
Dr Hamza was nominated by Gov. Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai to serve as Commissioner in the state.
The nominee appeared before the plenary presided over by Speaker, Alhaji Aminu Shagali and was screened and confirmed.
Architect Dr. Ibrahim was former Director General (KADFAMA), born 1974, hails from Soba Local Government of Kaduna State, he attended his primary education in Ahmadu Bello Staff Schools, finished in the year 1986, attended Unity College, Bauchi for his Secondary Education finished in 1992, attended Ahmadu Bello University where he got his first and second degree and  finished from the department of Architecture, he did his masters in project management in the United Kingdom and did his Phd also in Architecture, he also has an ordinary Phd at London graduate schools in conjunction with Common Wealth University.
He has been in practice as a consultant with CBN, NLC, Nigerian Emergency Management Agency, Chevron and Total.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the confirmation, Hamza expressed his gratitude to Allah  exsolting him and puting him that  position.
On the issue of Zaria water project he said” the Government is a continuous process we all know that recently the government cimmission Zaria Project ”
He assured the people of the state that he would work to ensure he accomplishes the vision and mission of the state government.
Also, Mr Nuhu Shadalafiya, Chairman House committee on Information called on the commissioner to concentrate more in ensuring the completion of water projects in the state.
“Ensure that eight local governments concerned have adequate water supply as soon as funds are made available just like we did  supplementary budget which covers that area.  We want him to put judicious use of that resource so that those who have left site will go back to site immediately and them ensures that the project achieves maximum  level of completion.”
The chairman also stressed the need for the new commissioner  to expand his work to other zones of the state particularly the metropolitan towns of Kaduna and Kafanchan so that those water works  that are not functional will pick up and begin to give water to the people of the state .
He however advised the commissioner to work in partnership with other bodies in order to ensure effective  water supply to  various communities in the state.
