Kaduna State House of Assembly on Thursday confirmed Mrs Ruth Alkali as the new Commissioner. Ministry of Commerce Industry and Tourism.
This followed a letter by Governor Nasir el-Rufai, sent to the House requesting the Assembly to approve the nominee by the Governor.
The nominees appeared before the plenary presided over by the Speaker. Alhaji Aminu Shagali and was screened and confirmed.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the confirmation, Mrs Ruth Alkali expressed her gratitude to Governor Malam Nasiru el-Rufai for finding her worthy of that position
She assured the people of Kaduna State that she would continue to work with the government to ensure its achieved success.
She also commended the lawmakers for the confirmation and assured them that she would work with other team members in order to take Kaduna State to a greater heights.
