The 40th Kaduna International Trade Fair is to commence on Friday 29th March to Sunday 7th April 2019 at the Kaduna International Trade and Investment Centre, Kaduna-Zaria road.
The 2nd Deputy President, Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) Alhaji Suleiman Aliyu disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the level of preparation for the trade fair.
According to him, the 40th edition of the trade fair which is holding in the month of March as against February is in view of the general elections.
He said, this year’s trade fair is themed” Consolidating Interface Between Industry and Agriculture for Sustainable Economic Development ” which according to KADCCIMA, is aimed at complimenting the efforts of government in its attempt to promote agriculture and Industrial development for socio economic transformation of the nation.
“We are already in contact with Industrialist, manufacturers, producers, fabricators, distributors and marketers both within and outside the country for participation.
“We have also contacted policy makers at the federal and state ministries of commerce, NIPC, trade and investment division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigerian missions abroad, foreign missions in Nigeria, NACVIMA as well as the chambers of commerce across the country to assist in marketing the fair.
“KADCCIMA is envisaging large turnout both locally and internationally. So far, we have some companies from countries like India, Pakistan, Cameroon, Egypt, China, Iran, Niger Republic and Bangladesh who have indicated interest to participate at the fair” he stated.
The fair is expected to be declared open by President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday 30th March, 2019 while Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir el-Rufai is the chief host.
Several activities including lectures will form highlights of the trade fair.
