The management of Sunshine Queens Football Club, has appointed the wife of the Secretary to Ondo State Government, Mrs. Jumoke Abegunde as the Matron of the Club
A statement by the Media Officer of the Club, Mr. Mike Akintunde said the appointment, will enable her to be more dedicated and diligent to achieve greater things for the Club.
While playing host to the Team Officials and players in Akure, Mrs Abegunde said she is glad to receive the team and will always be supportive at all times.
On the need for her to become the Matron of sunshine Queens, Mrs Abegunde Gladly accepted the role and promised to use all in her capacity to help sunshine Queens win laurels.
” I will always be supportive and I can assure you I wont disappoint you, I’m doing this with my Husband , the SSG, together we can achieve great things”
A part time Board member Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) , Mr Sunday Aladenika who spoke on behalf of sunshine Queens described Mrs Jumoke Abegunde as a complete football fan whose kind gesture will motivate players of the team.
A full time Board member, Honourable Dare Ogunleye described the visit to the SSG’s Wife as a good one which is geared towards achieving greater things for Sunshine Queens this season.
Other individuals who were part of the visit include, Technical Director Sunshine Queens, Prince Mouruf Adams, Team manager , Sunshine Queens, Mojisola Adekanye, team’s First assistant coach Niyi John, Captain of the team, Adeola Aminu among others.
