The Jigawa state Executive Council yesterday approved the Sum of 4 billion naira for the construction of ten Feeder Roads and installation of equipment for the newly established Television Station in the state.
The state Commissioner for Information Alhaiji Babandi Ibrahim Gumel , dropped the hint shortly after the state Executive Council meeting held at the Government House. According to him, the resolve to construct the Feeder roads covering a sizeable number of villages in some local governments areas of the state had became imperative in view of the need for such roads to ease transportation and boost commercial activities of the people at the grassroots levels.
He identified the villages to enjoy from the feeder roads as Limawa to Galamawa at the cost of Sixty Eight million, Yalo to Uguwar Jibirin in Kaugama local government area at the cost of Eighty six ,million Garki to Jangari to to Muku to Kanya,in Garki local government area at the cost Five Hundred and Sixty two million Guri, to Adiyani, in Guri local government at the cost of one Hundred and Seventy Five million and Lambar Zauma to Zaumar Mauhata to Diwigi to Gwiwa at the cost of one Hundred and Ninety five million, Gantsa to Jijiyo to Ahoto in Buji Local government area of the state at cost of over one Hundred and Seven million .
He said Ayama junction to Ayama town at the cost of over Two Hundred and and Eight million in Auyo local government, Arbus to Girbobo in Kaugama local government at the Cost of Four Hundred and Forty Two million. Other Feeder roads include Idanduna Kadowana in Jahun local government area at the cost of over Four Hundred and Eleven million while Jibori to G}Alaye to Madachi at the cost of ninety five million two Hundred and twenty five thousand.
On the installation of the state TV insulators, he said the contractor is expected to provide them within Eight after the signing of the contractual agreement in order to guarantee the smooth take of the station. Adding that three Emirates namely Hadejia , Gumel and Kazaure are to benefit.
The commissioner stated further that over Ninety Four million was released to FM Andaza for the renovation and upgrading of operation with equipment and Seven Hundred million to SUBEB for the repairs of some Secondary Schools
