The President of United States of America, Donald Trump, has been lambasted  over his recent  comments on killing of Christians in Nigeria.
National  Chairman Ulama’u Council of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa’ikamatis Sunnah, Shiekh Sani Yahaya Jingir has said that the president is not new to the Islamic world, while speaking at the opening ceremony of the group’s 25th Annual National Seminar held in Jos.
He noted that“ Trump’s assertion that only Christians were being killed in Nigeria, was nothing but to ignite crisis among Nigerians”.
Hear him:, ”Nigeria is a country that comprises Muslims, Christians and even traditional believers. So my call on all Nigerian Muslims and Christians, is that they should shun the call by Trump and continue to live in peace.”
The Chairman added that though Trump’s statement was not a surprise to him because the America’s President has said before his election  that he would ban Muslims from coming to America but failed to do that
“Nigerians should ignore Trump’s assertion and embrace one another for societal development.”
However, the cleric also disagreed with the proposed rotational zoning formula for presidential position, saying it is undemocratic.
