An Islamic Cleric, Dr Muhammad Muhammad Al-Kwandawe ha donated a building block to the Nigeria security and Civil Defence Corps [NSCDC] in Ruwan Doruwa village, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State as part of efforts to enhance security in the state and country.
Al-Kwandawe while speaking during the commissioning and handing over ceremony, said he embarked on constructing the building of the Out-Post  for the NSCDC to complement and assist them in carrying out their duties of securing the society efficiently.
The cleric added that the issue of security cannot be left for government alone as it is everybody’s business to ensure that the society is free of crimes.
“I am doing this because I want to be commended but I believe that if there is no security, there is no way that I and the people will be safe and I will not be able to be coming to this my village,” he said.
Al-Kwandawe therefore called on wealthy individuals and organizations to prioritize the issue of security by complementing government in the provision of buildings for the various security agencies in the country.
The Zamfara State Commandant, NSCDC, Mr. David Abi commended the foresight of the Islamic scholar in donating the Out-Post station to the civil defence.
“We are very delighted by this gesture, this show that our services are being appreciated by the people. This will definitely assist us greatly in our duty of providing security,” he said.
Abi also charged the people to support security agencies as security is everybody’s responsibility.
