The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) owners of filling stations in Kebbi State have closed down their existing filling stations in state for the reason best known to them.
This resulted the shortage of fuel in all part of the Birnin Kebbi metropolis according to a finding at weekend by the New Nigerian Correspondent on-line..
The finding further revealed that only two filling stations, NNPC Mega and Oando were operating with a long queue of motorist and motorcyclists.
Some vehicle owners who spoke to our Correspondent in Birnin Kebbi at NNPC Mega station expressed their displeasure and accused the IPMAN officials for causing hardship to people as result of closure of their filling stations in the state.
Malam Faruku Bello described the IPMAN officials as amateur and looses saying they closes their filling stations out of wickedness.
He pointed out that instead for them to open and sell at whatever price, they closes their stations in order cause hardship among people.
Contacted IPMAN Chairman in the state, Malam Mohammed Tila told our correspondent that the cause of all this was as result of getting the fuel from NNPC at N145 per liter and there is way we can sell at this price except we increase the price from this N145 to either N160 or N165.
