Insecurity: FG Will Continue To Train, Retrain Air Men, Women – Chief Of Air Staff

The Chief of Air Staff, Nigerian Airforce, Air Marshal Sadiq Baba Abubakar has said that the Federal Government will continue to train and retrain the Airmen and Airwomen to meet the challenges of the country at any given time.
Addressing the over 1,544 Basic Military Training course 38/2017 Recruits at the Passing Out Parade at Military Training Centre, Nigerian Airforce Base, Kaduna, he said the Federal Government is committed to the training of officers, and men in order to enhance their performance.
He therefore urged them to take the advantage of the training to equip themselves towards the challenges ahead of them, adding that Federal Government will not accept indiscipline from anybody at all and that it was through the hard work of Nigerian Armed Forces that made the members of Boko Haram to abandon their forest and ran away.
The Air Marshal, however, advised the Recruits of course 38/2017 to remain loyal to the constitutional authority and protect the lives and property of the country, saying that they should not allow themselves to be used by group of people to destroy the country.
He added that the objectives of the training is to impact on entrants, basic military skills and general orientation of the Nigerian Airforce, and the training is also to inculcates discipline in the trainees, prepares them for the next phase of their services, customs and traditions. He pointed out  that the training is to create awareness in the Cedets about their responsibilities to the nation and the Federal Government, resource management and leadership, saying that the training programme is for both male and female Cadets and that the duration is six months. (24 weeks).
