Despite these amazing potentials, Bauchi State is today confronted with the greatest odds of excruciating poverty, high unemployment, overwhelming illiteracy, internal tensions and strife.
Gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Ambassador Shuaibu Ahmed Adamu expressed this while interacting with our correspondent.
“Water, education, health facilities and security of lives and property are now mere optical illusions in Bauchi State,” he said.
He added that infrastructure have decayed while access to education and health in the state are dwindling.
“The economy of the state has been battered due to high level of corruption and mismanagement. In short, the basic needs of the people have been ignored by those at the helm of affairs in the state,” he added.
Speaking further, he emphasized that things must not be allowed to continue unabated.
“Most citizens of the state are convinced that we cannot allow things to continue on this path,” he submitted.
Ambassador Adamu charged all to make deliberate efforts in ensuring that the state bounces back.
“Indeed, the that preoccupies most right thinking adults in the state today is this: ‘How can we create a new beginning for our state and a more fulfilling future for our people?” He pointed out.
