Zamfara State Governor, Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar has described late Imam Dalhatu Imam, the Spokesman to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as a journalist per excellence whose death will be felt in the media industry.
Yari in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity said the death was sad and painful loss for Sokoto and Taraba States in particular and the nation in general.
“Imam Imam who was before his appointment by Gov Tambuwal as Media Aide, served in Zamfara state as Thisday Newspaper Correspondent and was a journalist per excellence and a dedicated media manager. His death is a great loss not only to journalism profession, but also to political class,” he said.
The governor said Imam Imam who died in Abuja in the early hours of Friday, after a brief illness was a worthy son and representative of both Sokoto and Taraba States who had given a good account of himself in the Media Industry, lamenting that the two States will miss his proactive representation in the industry.
Yari prayed to Allah to grant him Aljannah Firdausi and condoled the Governors of Sokoto and Taraba States, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the immediate family of Imam Imam,
