I Have No Regrets Funding Kada City FC, Hunkuyi Says, As Dignitaries Throng Unveiling

Senator representing Kaduna North Senatorial District, Suleiman Hunkuyi has said that he has no regrets being part of the Kada City FC, in view of the impact it would have on the grassroots.
He expressed this at an interactive session as part of the activities of the  unveiling of the club and football academy at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Thursday, February 22, 2018.
“I have no regret being part of the football club and the academy. We see potentials in you the coaches, we see potentials in our younger generation. We also see potentials beyond our state to our entire country,” he said.
Senator  Hunkuyi said that the club would focus on development of soccer in Kaduna State.
He explained that with the calibre of dignitaries at the unveiling, the seminar will raise the understanding, skills and knowledge of participants, it would translate to raising standards at the communities in the grassroots.
“The resource persons and their time are too precious not to be paid attention to. They would in no little measure contribute to developing football by taking the coaches knowledge to the next level. I must say I quite honestly cannot thank them enough for sparing their time to be here.
“My honest and candid advice is that for me and some of us,it is intended to create a huge extract of understanding of a better concept of impacting in the young ones the skills in our state,” he added.

Kaduna State FA Chairman, Honourable Abdullahi Kassim Sheriff said Kaduna State is blessed to have three teams in the Professional league.

He described Kaduna State as one blessed with abundant talent.
The Kaduna FA Chairman hailed Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi for coming all the way from Osun State to witness the unveiling of the football club.
Sheriff praised the financier of Kada Stars, Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi,  and the CEO, Ekene Abubakar Adams.
 Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi in his remarks, aligned with Senator Hunkuyi, stressing that coaches and football administrators are lucky to have sports loving sponsors like him.
” Kaduna State is so blessed. This is why we came all the way from Ibadan to fish out the late Rashidi Yekini. Some months ago, I came from Osun State to steal your players. I went all the way to Kafanchan at the end of the day, we got five players, took them to Osun State and the players were taken to Osun where four of them were signed. You will soon hear of them when the season begins.
“Kaduna yet to discover its own potentials.
Gentleman, let’s listen attentively and learn what you are here to learn,” he added.
In his remarks, the CEO of Kara Stars FC, said that the seminar was a rare opportunity for coaches in the state.
He urged them to concentrate and pay attention to the speakers.
Technical Director Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Coach Bitrus Bewarang said that he was proud of Kaduna as a football state.
Presenting his paper, former NFF Secretary General, Dr. Tijanni Yusuf taught the coaches tricks that will make them successful.
Activities to mark the unveiling resume by 4pm at the training pitch of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, on Thursday February 22, 2018.
According to the schedules, the unveiling is expected to last for three days, featuring various activities.
