How Ubah partners West Ham

Proprietor of premiership side, FC IfeanyiUba, Chief Ifeanyi Uba said the recent partnership deal with English premiership side; West Ham United will enable the club benefit immensely from the experience of the East London Club which boasts of the best football academy in England.
He said this during the official unveiling of West Ham as the clubā€™s partners,Ā saying the relationship will equip the Nnewi based outfit technically and professionally, giving them the same platform like their counterparts in Europe, put the clubā€™s stadium on the same platform as West Ham Olympic size stadium, use the English side as a platform to transfer players to foreign club sides just as he stressed that with the arrangement, West Ham scouts will be visiting Nigeria three times a year to scout for players.
According to the Oil magnet ā€œWe went into the partnership because we discovered that apart from 18 different benefits that will accrue to us, West Ham shares the same vision with us. When you look at the club, you will discover that they just moved from their former 30,000 capacity stadium to 60,000Ā Olympic size stadium which has the same facilities with what we want to establish at Nnewi Games villageā€, he stated.
ā€œThe club is also known as one of Ā the clubs with the best Ā football academy and we hope to leverage on that and develop our own football , since the most passionate part of our business is to develop grassroots football Ā to enable talented youths develop not only their skills but play football at the highest levelā€, he asserted.
Ubah, while expressing confidence that very soon two or three of his players will be lacing boots for West Ham United, announced that from next season, the club will be adorning the same jersey with the English club side.
In his own remarks, NFF President, Amaju Pinnick noted that the football house is happy with the deal because West Ham is one of the few clubs that does not believe only in English players but give opportunity to players from different parts of the world even as he commended Chief Ifeanyi Uba for changing the face of Nigerian football in two years.
Chairman of West Ham United, Angus Kinnear noted that his club was encouraged by the fantastic progress made by FC IfeanyiUba inĀ less than two seasons in the Nigerian elite league, noting that their plan is to develop good players in Nigeria through the deal.
