Herdsmen Sack Local Govt Workers In Akure

Crisis rocks Akure South Local Government Secretariat as Fulani herdsmen sacked the entire workers over a clash between a member of staff identified as Mr. Johnson and a castle rearer.

New Nigerian Online investigation revealed that trouble started when Mr. Johnson tried to prevent a young cattle rearer from destroying his vegetable garden located in the premises of the council with his flock.
As soon as Johnson confronted the young lad to take his cattle away, that a Fulani onlooker who had maintained the distance from the scene dared Johnson and drew his dagger to attack.
Johnson was said to be brave enough at this instance as he also drew his cutlass to challenge the attacking Fulani man.
After much intricacies and battle, Johnson’s efforts  to over power his challenger how ever later attracted other Fulanis  nearby who mobilised to the scene in their number to support their colleague.
According to the eye witness who will not like to be mentioned, it was when Johnson sensed danger of mob dagger attack that he took cover in the Local government Secretariat.
This was said to in frustrate the co herds men who went after him, forcing the entire members of staff of the local government to take to their heels thereby forcing a temporary closure of the Secretariat.
It took the intervention of the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Gbenga Adeyanju and other security Chiefs to bring the situation under control.
