The redidents of Gwarzo town have commended the local council chairman, Engineer Bashir Abdullahi Kutama for his determination to provide good drainage in Gwarzo town despite the present economic situation affecting Local Government Councils in Kano State.
Our correspondent who visited the town had a chat with some residents of the area, where most of them disclosed that they voted Engineer Kutama because of his zeal to make Gwarzo Local Government Area more developed as seen on ground since he assumed office.
Malam Haruna Adamu told New Nigerian that, “We are the beneficiaries of the ongoing drainage construction because our houses are often flooded whenever it rains.”
He announced that some times, residents that are close to the drainage suffer a lot before the intervention of the local government council under Bashir Kutama’s stewardship.
Similarly, Alhaji Umar Muss Gwarzo stated that Gwarzo would become a well developed area under the leadership of Engineer Bashir Kutama, adding that few weeks after assuming office, the chairman was able to restore water provision in Gwarzo town and some parts of the local government area, where he called on the people of the LGA to give more support to the council for more projects.
Malam Aminu Gwarzo, a member of the Kano North Youth Organisation called on the Nigerian governors to give full autonomy to the local government councils because they are the most closest tier of government that accommodate people at both rural and urban areas as witnessed previously.
He thanked Engineer Bashir Abdullahi Kutama for his untiring efforts to the progress of his people.
In his remarks, Malam Mustapha Umar Tallo Gwarzo stressed that Engineer Bashir Kutama has done a commendable job for the construction of the drainage at Gwarzo town, water provision and other important capital projects at different sectors all for the development of his electorates.
He assured that the people of Gwarzo LGA would continue to support his administration with due respect.
