Zamfara State Governor, Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian Military for successful defeating the Boko Haram insurgents in the North East.
The governor said the capture of Sambisa forest from the insurgents is a clear attestation of the commitment of President Buhari and the armed forces to bring to an end all sorts of crimes and criminality in the country.
“Giving a final blow to the Boko-Haram insurgents through the recapture of Sambisa forest, is worth celebrating and this has demonstrated the fulfillment of the campaign promises by the APC,” he said.
Yari was speaking at the Ground Breaking Ceremony of 207 Quick Response Squad of the Nigeria Air Force, Gusau, saying his administration will continue to support the Nigerian Air Force and other security agencies operating in Zamfara state, in order to ensure adequate security of lives and property in the state.
The governor commended the federal government for granting the request of the state government to establish an Air Force base in the state,
“The people and Government of Zamfara State are indeed appreciative of the wisdom of the President, Minister of Defence and Chief of the Air Staff in locatingan Air Force base in Zamfara State. This will surely go a long way in augment the existing military and paramilitary outfits in maintaining peace in the state and beyond,” he said.
