Gov Sani Bello Pleads With Akeredolu Not To Let His People Down

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state has appealed to all those who lost in the Ondo state Governorship election at the weekend to sheath their swords and join hands with Chief Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to ensure delivery of democratic dividends to the people of the state.
 
Governor Bello in a congratulatory message to the the Governor-elect, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN and his Deputy, Hon. Agboila Ajayi urged them to be magnanimous in victory and ensure that they carry everyone along.
 
“Your victory is a testimony of the confidence the people of the state repose in you and your Deputy”. He said the victory is a call to higher responsibility by the overwhelming victory recorded in 14 out of 18 local government areas of the state.
 
He tasked the flag bearers of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC to be mindful of the call to service and never do anything to let down the people of the state.
 
Governor Bello in a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace said the outcome of the election were indications that the people’s hope and trust were built on the APC as a political party that will take the state out of it’s woods.
 
“Having found you worthy as the most competent amongst the lot to take the Sunshine State from the doldrums of decay and infrastructural deficiency, I wish to urge you to go the extra mile to make the interest of the people central in all that you do from your first day in office”.
 
“I am sure your victory at the polls was an indication that the hopes and aspirations of your people are better actualised under your watchful eyes. You owe them total and unaltered dedication and commitment”, the statement said.
 
Bello told Akeledolu, “You cannot afford to make mistakes of your predecessor, work for the interest of all, not minding the differences in party affiliation in other to bring about progress in the social economic growth and infrastructural development of Ondo state”.
 
Meanwhile, Governor Bello has appealed to other contestants to the office of the state Governor to put the election behind them and join hands with the Governor-elect for the development and stability of the state and the country as a whole.
 
Governor Bello also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for the milestone achievements recorded in the conduct of the election which was adjudged by most stakeholders as, ‘peaceful, free and fair’.
