Gov Simon Lalong has paid glowing tributes to the late Justice Lazarus Dakyen, a retired former Chief Judge of Plateau State at his funeral mass in Jos.
Gov Lalong said the jurist was a pillar of support who contributed immensely to the peace process in the state.
He described late Dakyen as “a Jurist per excellence, a colossus of quintessential essence and an indefatigable Judge who expanded the frontiers of Criminal and Civil Jurisprudence”
Speaking, the Catholic Archbishop of Jos Diocese, Ignatius Kaigama described the Late Dakyen as a committed Christian who contributed to his community.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Ignatius Longjam, the board chairman of NIPSS appreciated Gov Lalong and others who supported the family at the hour of need.
The funeral service, held at the St. Louis Catholic church, was preceded by a valedictory session at the Jos High court.
