Gov Emmanuel gives automatic employment to Corp’s widow

Hope for  survival has been rekindled for the family of late Supol Friday Etuk, a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state who died recently in active service.
The State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel during a condolence visit to the deceased’s family at Ikot Idaha in Ibiono Ibom, offered automatic employment to the widow of the deceased, Mrs. Gbibari Friday Etuk to enable her cater for the welfare of the seven children left behind by the late Police Officer.
Governor Emmanuel described as shocking the demise of the Cop, saying he was deeply touched by the plight of the young children for losing the comfort of their father.
He directed the Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Ekerebong Akpan, to enroll the widow in the State Civil Service immediately after the funeral.
The Governor charged members of the deceased family to extend their affection to the children to alleviate the agony of the loss of their breadwinner and prayed God to grant them fortitude to bear the loss.
A cousin of the deceased Dr. Sylvanus Isonguyo who spoke onbehalf of the family thanked the Governor for the gesture and prayed God to bless him and sustain his tenure.
The State Chief Executive was accompanied on the condolence visit by the Commissioner of Police Mr. Murtala Mani, Secretary to the State Government, Sir Ettekamba Umoren, Head of Civil Service Mrs. Ekereobong Akpan and other members of the state Executive Council.
The remains of Late Supol Friday Etok will be laid to rest at his country home, Ibiono Ewuro in Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
