The chairman,  Central Working Committee,  Great Gospel Crusade,  Calabar 2018, Rev. Lawrence Ekwok, God wants to use Calabar to chart a spiritual way forward to transforming Nigeria.
Ekwok who is also the Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria,  stated this while addressing newsmen on the preparedness of the Great Gospel Crusade with Daniel Kolenda tagged “Calabar 2018 holding from February 15-18, this month.
Said he “Nigeria is waiting for Calabar to signal the way it should go.  This is the third time Bonnie Crusade is holding in Calabar, capital of Cross River state”.
According to him, “we never lobbied for the crusade to be held here.  This is something that came through the Divine Providence.
The gospel, he said, “came to Nigeria through Calabar. No one and indeed can help the country except God.  No politician has solution to our  problem except the Almighty God”.
In answer to a question,  he said, ” Calabar South noted for its turbulent nature, will henceforth embrace peace because of the crusade. Kidnappers shall be kidnapped by God.  They will give up their lives to God”.
He however announced that the venue and other arrangements are ready for the biggest spiritual event of the decade in Cross River State.
Ekwok said “security arrangement have also been put in place with a 24 hour security  at the venue and other strategic locations throughout the duration of the crusade.
“We can confidently say that we are ready for the crusade which is scheduled to hold from February 15-18, 2018 at 3.30pm daily, while the Fire conference for gospel ministers and church workers will hold from 15 February to Saturday 17 from 7am daily at the venue”.
He,  therefore,  appealed to churches who are yet to join the crusade workforce to join the train as fast as possible for the spiritual harvest of the decade in Cross River State.
Ekwok commended Christ For All Nations (CFAN), and the ministry of the world renowned Evangelist Reinhard Bonnie on behalf of all churches in the state for approving that the crusade be held in Calabar.
He said “to our knowledge there has never been any other state in the world that CFAN has had six crusades. We, therefore consider Cross River state unique and special in the Calendar of God”.
