He made the call over the weekend during the closing ceremony of Sheikh Ahmad Arabi Annual Hadith Competition organised by Ittihadu Anwaril Hidayat school, held at the Jos Central Mosque.
According to the governor who was represented by the Director of Arabic and Islamic Schools in Kano, the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was very significant to the life of Muslims in the world and therefore should be valued and given adequate attention.

Speaking also at the occasion, the Chairman of the Ittihadu Anwaril Hidayat , Plateau State, Alh. Yusuf Yahaya harped on the challenges facing the school especially the welfare of staff, adding that even parents were not helping matters when it comes to the payment of school fees of mere N100 or N50 per week.
