Nasarawa State Government has demanded for an apology from Benue State for wrongly accusing it of camping Fulani militia  in the state.

This was made known today at Luis Edet House when the Inspector General of Police called for a peace parley between the two states.

The Nasarawa state demand is coming on the face of the statement by IGP Ibrahim Idris that investigations have confirm that no such militia camp exists in Tunga Nasarawa State as alleged.

The Secretary to the State Government Mohammed Abdullahi who represented the state said the statement from Benue defies all logic and proof and that Governor Samuel   Ortom has every chanel of communication with Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura and wonders why he went to the press which is further heating the polity.

He emphasized that Nasarawa is at peace with itself and not in anyway at war with Benue State and wondered why Nasarawa is invited to the meeting by IGP.

Benue State representative responded and said that the point raised by the Nasarawa State Government is better raised when the two Governors are present.

The meeting was adjourned to a later date to be announced when the IGP consults the two Governors.
