Motorists and other vehicles owners have commended A.A.Rano and Matrix filling stations for selling fuel at an approved pump price of 145 Naira despite the current fuel scarcity hitting the whole country.
Most of the commercial vehicle drivers who spoke with New Nigerian disclosed that A.A.Rano, Nipco, and Matrix filling stations sell their products at an approved government price of 145 naira per litre, and they all banned the use of jerry cans or any other means of getting fuel illegally which is a patriotic effort especially at this time when fuel is scarce everywhere.
Malam Audi a long journey taxi driver stressed that A.A.Rano filling station Miltara, Nipco Dambatta road and Matrix Dawanau desrve respect and praise for selling fuel at approved pump price everyday and the motorists are very happy with the existence of these filling stations for their patriotism in terms of petroleum and related products in Kano State.
Our correspondent who monitored the activities of many filling stations accross Kano State reports that most of the filling stations sell fuel between 200 to N220 naira per litre, while black marketers sell a gallon of four litres between one thousand to one thousand two hundred Naira outside filling stations.
Similarly, most of the filling stations that sell fuel above the government price sell their products to black marketers at night, despite efforts of the petroleum task force officials in controlling the fuel sales at regulated price.
