Corps Commander Ebenezer Asaniyan of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kaduna Zonal Command, on Friday said he is giving glory to God for his promotion.
Asaniyan stated this after he was decorated with his new rank as Corps Commander, by the Zone’s Acting Zonal Commander, Mr Crawford Oti, in Kaduna.
The officer, after dedicating his promotion to God, affirmed that hardwork and dedication to duty truly pays, adding that there would always be a reward for selfless service to humanity.
He urged other officials of the corps to rededicate their expertise towards ensuring sanity on highways across the country and remain committed to saving lives.
“I wish to thank God, the governing council and management of FRSC for considering me worthy of this new rank.
“I will justify the confidence bestowed on me by being even more dedicated to my duty in ensuring that FRSC becomes the leading organisation in traffic management in Africa.
“There is nothing so rewarding as dedication and commitment to one’s duty; if you have that you have everything,” he said.
Earlier, the zonal commander congratulated Asaniyan, saying that “this promotion was in recognition of your commitment and dedication to duty in ensuring safer roads for motorists.”
Similarly, Mr Bulus Darwang, the immediate past zonal commander of the zone who recently retired from service, described Asaniyan as a committed officer who gets things done with all seriousness.
“Reward comes from God and He rewards and honours those who are patience and hardworking,” he said.
Darwang urged other personnel of the corps to remain committed to the attainment of the vision of the corps.
Mr Umar Ibrahim, Commander, Kaduna Sector Command equally noted that the success of the corps largely depend on the commitment and dedication of personnel to duty.
