A four-day sensitization meeting for Schools Based Management Committee and Social Mobilization Officers on Schools Improvement Projects and Grants utilization in the 34 Local Government Areas of Katsina State has rounded up at Modoji Primary School in Katsina Metropolis.
The project was supported by Universal Basic Education Commission in collaboration with State’s SUBEBs.
In a welcome address, the Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Isyaku Bello commended UBEC for initiating the project despite other interventions.
Alhaji Isyaku Bello stressed the need for the stakeholders in the state to rally round and ensure the state benefit from the gesture.
Also speaking, the Permanent Member Two of the Board, Alhaji Aliyu Abdullahi Batsari disclosed that the meeting was convened to sensitize the stakeholders on the Project.
He stated that sixty five schools in Katsina were expected to benefit from the project, adding that fifteen schools were earmarked for general rehabilitation works, while fifty schools for minor repairs and one hundred schools in the Federation for new constructions.
